Taff’s Bio

Caefelin Clem “Taff” was imported from Wales where he was bred by M.J. Edwards. He is the grandson of the very well-known Roy, who represented Wales on several occasions.

Taff was owned, trained, and trialed by Ross Games. He came in 5th in the European Nursery Championship in 2019. He has won open sheep dog trials and performs beautifully on a trial field. Taff has been described to work well in the mountains and as a lambing dog. Having seen Taff work both sheep and goats myself, he does not disappoint.

Taff is 21” tall and 40lbs with a beautiful coat and structure. He has a stylish work ethic, and a delightful temperament. He is your typical boy border collie, very happy and loving. In a trial setting, Taff is very calm with low arousal. Indoors, he settles well with a wonderful off switch. He is neutral with other dogs and livestock, but friendly with people and children. I am beyond impressed.

Taff is a proven stud and has sired many pups who are now working stock, competing as sports prospects and/or enjoying active companion homes both here in the states and overseas. The offspring who have gone on to working homes have been quite successful with herding, showing lots of style and instinct at an early age. A quick little Facebook search will bring up plenty of content proving the workability and drive in his lines.
