Ekko’s Bio

Ekko is bred out of Hidden Meadows Livestock, LLC in Missoula, MT. Her pedigree is stacked with working dogs from Mission Falls Ranch in St. Ignatius, Montana. Additionally, many of these lines can be spotted out of Gold Creek Ranch. The vast majority of dogs in Ekko’s pedigree have all gone on to excel in herding, agility, SAR, dock diving, disc, flyball and more.

Ekko is 21” tall and 36lbs with a medium rough coat. She has a high drive with lower arousal. She is a biddable dog and able to maintain a handler focused relationship. Ekko the best off switch. She does well indoors, and is able to settle with ease. Ekko is neutral, but friendly to both people and other dogs. Her versatility is exceptional, she seems to thrive in whatever activity we throw her in. She has a heart for all the dog sports. From fastCAT to dock diving, agility or scent trials… she doesn’t care, she is just ready to work.

Currently, Ekko has earned several titles including her Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Trick Dog Novice (TKN), Trick Dog Intermediate (TKI), Dock Novice (DN), Dock Junior (DJ), BCAT, DCAT, RATI and RATN. We love to compete and hope to achieve many more titles in the future.

At first, we began dabbling in fastCAT. We spent many weekends enjoying local fun runs before deciding to compete, and we haven’t looked back. Her fastest run has been 7.62 seconds which is 26.84 mph. Later, we decided to try out dock diving. Ekko knocked out both her DN and DJ titles in just two weekends without having seen a dock prior to competing.

Ekko has been exposed to Barn Hunting and NASDA scent trials, where she is a natural. She has titled in the Instinct and Novice levels for Barn Hunting after just one weekend. And she is NASDA Level 1 in both Shed Hunting and Trailing and Locating.

For fun, Ekko enjoys NADAC agility, disc and herding. She shows lots of confidence, natural instinct and great potential on stock. She has been introduced to stock quite a few times and participated in herding clinics. Our goal is to send her to a trainer in the Spring of 2025 to get her ready to trial in novice.
