Quest’s Bio
Without even searching, we were presented with the opportunity to own this unique girl. Quest has been with us since Spring 2024. And we’ve been focused on transitioning her into our lifestyle, training basics, providing proper socialization and exposure, and just having fun together.
Quest comes to us from a little farm in Nebraska, out of working lines and show lines. We’ve seen glimpses of instinct that lead us to believe she would have the drive to try out herding down the road. Both parents work stock, and we would love to see her go in that direction one day.
Quest is 17” tall and about 30lbs. We think she will be on the smaller side, but she is built nicely. Her structure is lovely. Don’t let her size fool you, as she is speedy and springy. Quest is great in the home with a solid off switch. Low arousal but with a medium drive.
She is quirky, gentle, happy and a lot of fun. She’s the type of dog that can thrive in any home and go in any direction. She settles in the house beautifully, non vocal, travels well, loves toys and treats, gets along with other dogs, friendly with people and kids, and just an all around fun loving girl.
The adventures of Quest
In the first few days of owning Quest, this girl racked up some Puppy Aptitude titles in a weekend of competing in NASDA scent trials. So she’s got a little nose on her. We’ve tried out some fun runs in fastCAT, and she seems to have a nice prey drive. And this spring, she surprised us by doing pretty well in the show ring during her first AKC conformation event with minimal practice.
Over the summer, Quest earned her RATN title in Barn Hunting and her Farm Dog Certificate. She participated in more dog shows and did beautifully. Quest left to Texas in January of 2025 to grow in her conformation career and chip away at her AKC Champion title with Ashley E. Miller.
We hope to see more interest from Quest in a variety of events, as time goes on. We really do believe she is a can do anything kind of border collie. And our goal is to prove her versatility.
